A number of local facilites are within a 20 minute walk from your home including a secondary school, primary school, several pubs, an Aldi, a Sainsbury’s and a retail centre. Alternatively, Walking in Wiltshire have developed a range of beautiful walking routes you can explore. Much of the county is designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it would be a shame to miss out!

Cycling

Chippenham Town Centre is only a 12-minute cycle from your home, offering access to a range of local facilities and shops. There are three cycle shops located in Chippenham and as part of our pledge to make sustainable travel that much more attainable, you can claim up to £100 to use at tone of these stores within the first 6 months of moving in
Cycling UK is an online platform that provides insurance, access to cycle magazine, group rides, retail discounts and more, for a small fee. It provides advice and guidance to those new to cycling or looking to gain some more confidence when commuting or leisure riding. It aims to make cycling accessible to all.
Regular cycling is a great form of transport for most people because it is cheaper than other forms of transport, easy and great exercise. Chippenham benefits from a range of facilities that residents are likely to cycle to on a day-to‐day basis. Bus
The nearest bus stops to your home are located on Bath Road Road, approximately 10 minutes walking distance from your home, or next to the B&Q, approximately 15 minutes from your home. These stops are approximately an 800m walk east or west of your home, accessible via the footway on Methuen Park or Easton Lane
The X31 and 231 bus services offer a direct connection to Bath and Corsham, running every 30 minutes. The X34 bus operates 7 days a week and starts in Chippenham before heading to Melksham, Trowbridge and Frome. The 636 bus also offers a limited service between Corsham and Marshfield. For a quick link to Chippenham Town Centre, The 44D bus is a circular line with 13 stops departing from the B&Q bus stop. No service is available on Sunday. Train
Your nearest train station is Chippenham, approximately 30 minutes away by bus on the 231 service and provides direct connections to London Paddington, Bath Spa and Bristol. Facilities include a 640 space car park, sheltered cycle parking for up to 106 bikes, refreshment facilities and accessible toilets.
Rail fares can vary significantly, however, booking in advance makes rail travel cheaper. There are a number of memberships and rail cards available that can help reduce the cost.

Electric vehicles and (EVs) and plug in hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly popular and growing at a rapid rate in the UK. According to Zapmap there are just under 1,400,000 fully electric cars in the UK at the end of January 2025. The number of charging points is growing rapidly.
